Weather conditions 2009

The rainfall during winter and spring created a ground water supply that sustained the vines throughout the dry, challenging summer.
The summer of 2009 was very hot with temperature highs reaching extreme levels, even in the first 10 days of September.
This was a very interesting growing year for reds, producing wines of firm structure and above all great elegance. Overall volume dropped by approximately 10%.
